December KAL: Poinsettia

My finished version of our December 1st KAL:   Poinsettia
Mine will be used as a square within a blanket, so I knit it with acrylic worsted, Vanna White's yarn.

And it snows some more --

we live east of Buffalo ~
at least four feet of snow with a couple feet on our roof ~
Anyone got a shovel??!!

Illusion Knitting !
 this is such a fun style of knitting - the *picture* appears from a different view than from above!!
Something *new* for those who are tired of doing plain, ordinary knit and purls.
Though you still do knit/purl, the *mystery* of the design puts a different slant on knitting it [pun intended!] ~

This is one I recently finished knitting to display for the monthly knit-along group which I belong to ~
The pattern is called *Vintage Flowers* -
I liked it because it immediately made me think of my grandmother's afghan, the black background and the colorful flowers scattered upon it.

Thank you for another awesome pattern!
  I was asked to conduct the daily emails - it was fun!  I loved the mystery of giving just a few rows each day - and wondering what others thought it would turn out to be!
Janet is a genius with a knitting needle!
